IT'S DECIDED: Maia Sandu is the mutual candidate of PLDM, PPDA and PAS at Presidential elections
The leader of "Action and Solidarity" Party, Maia Sandu is the mutual candidate of the PLDM, PPDA and PAS for presidential elections that will be held later this month. The information was confirmed by the sources of Deschide.MD that came from the meeting of the three parties where were submitted the results of the second survey.
The President of PLDM, Viorel Cibotaru, subsequently confirmed for Deschide.MD that Maia Sandu is the single candidate of PLDM, PPDA and PAS for the presidential elections, the decision was taken yesterday at the mutual meeting of the three parties. He added that the party he leads will reaffirm the support for Maia Sandu in the presidential elections to the Political Bureau and later to the National Political Council of the party.
Asked what was the difference between the two candidates, Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase, in the poll, Cibotaru refused to tell us, arguing that this responsibility is of the single elected candidate - Maia Sandu.
We remind that the day before yesterday the Political Party "Platform Dignity and Truth" (PPDA) decided within the Political Bureau of the party to support Andrei Nastase as the single candidate from the democratic and anti-oligarchic forces , however "if until Thursday at 2 p.m. the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) will not consent to this formula" then PPDA will support the PAS candidate in the presidential elections.
