Dodon's rude reply to Timofti: At the end of his term he realized that he can make statements
President-elect Igor Dodon replies to President Nicolae Timofti, mentioning that "he realized he can be president and can make statements"
"At the end of his term Mr Nicolae Timofti realized that he can be president and he can make statements. At least in the last hour. I understand his psychological state. It's painful to leave the senior post in the state without leaving something memorable behind. Except for a bag of given medals," Igor Dodon writes on his Facebook page.
He also says that the statements of President Timofti betray a lack of understanding of the political reality in Moldova.
"However even these final statements are not coherent, they betray a lack of understanding of the political reality in Moldova. But I'm not surprised. That's when you don't have something and you even not know what you don't have. And that's when you have in the administration or among minions the unionists and those who are anti-state. Remains to be seen how did Mr Timofti approve a government and a general prosecutor in the dark, at night, secretly from the citizens. How did he allow to remain silent when they have stolen the billion. How he approved other anti-social things," Dodon said and added that he was sorry that he had to make these remarks at the end of his term.
"I regret that Mr Timofti doesn't know how to put points on his page without spilling ink on the paper. This is also a characteristic of the person", writes the President-elect.
Deschide.MD recalls that Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti reacted to the statement of President-elect Igor Dodon on the fact that Moldova must apologize to Transnistria for the war from 1992. Nicolae Timofti added that "the community of ideas with progressive forces, along with the civil society, the intellectual elite of a nation must be the principle of government of the Moldovan president, not party dogmas which launched him into politics. Doing politics for a party and doing politics for the people are different activities, while the latter shows political and civic maturity and respect for the motherland."
We remind that four days ago Igor Dodon declared for the Russian website Russia Today that he believes that offering scholarships to young Moldovans from Romania is a policy of Romanization. Russia should get involved in this situation and to do more to stop Romanization, inclusively by providing more scholarships to youngsters from Moldova. At the same time, Dodon said Moldova must apologize to Transnistria for the war from 1992.
