Deputy Minister of Justice, Nicolae Esanu criticizes the legislative initiative on removing the repayment of the stolen billion from the shoulders of the citizens, making allusions to the fact that Igor Dodon has lack of knowledge in the legal field in comparison to an "average student" from a law school.

In a posting on Facebook Esanu wrote that the initiative of the president would be a ridiculous one.

"In connection with the President's initiative to annul the famous law No. 235 I notice among other things that:

a) The transparent decision-making process has not been abided by the rules (a possible reference to the fact that the government does not excel at this certainly seems credible for the supporters, but sounds ridiculous from someone who claims to govern better, especially given that the Parliament and is on vacation and the initiative will cover with dust for a long period);

b) He doesn't take into account the fact that an abrogation of the law doesn't reinstate the previously abolished laws or remove the legal effects already produced under the rule of the abolished law, facts known even by mediocre students from the faculty of law", said the Deputy Minister.

We remind you that Igor Dodon signed yesterday the first legislative initiative that requested the abrogation of the Law on government bond issue for execution by the Ministry of Finance of the payment obligations derived from state guarantees.

His proposal was welcomed by the communist and liberal democratic opposition, but criticized by the parliamentary majority and the government.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip called the initiative as a populist one and he added that the new head of state, "is entering the office with the wrong foot." In turn, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, thinks the president's proposal would be a "legal blunder".
