The former MP, Iurie Bolboceanu, indicted for treason through espionage in favor of Russia, spent the night at the hospital. He began to accuse heartache, yesterday during the hearings, when prosecutors put on the table all transcripts of talks they hold. The same pain he accused during examinining the request on his placement in custody for a period of 30 days. Therefore, prosecutors had to call an ambulance repeatedly.

Finally, Iurie Bolboceanu was transferred to hospital where he spent the night under the strict supervision of SIS officers.

Prosecution for Organized Crime Combat and Special Causes (POCCSC) deputy head Vitaly Basil confirmed to Deschide.MD that Bolboceanu was hospitalized but said his health condition has stabilized, and throughout the day, he will be released.

"There were made several medical examinations and a special commission examined them and concluded that Mr. Bolboceanu does not have anything, respectively the medical problems he said he would have, did not come true. Therefore, the committee decided to release him," told us Vitalie Busuioc.

We remind you that on 17 March, the POCCSC prosecutors jointly with officers of Intelligence and Security (SIS) arrested red-handed the former MP Iurie Bolboceanu, when transmitting information of national interest to a representative of foreign special services, who works under diplomatic cover.

On 19 March Bolboceanu was indicted for committing actions to the detriment of the sovereignty and security of the Republic of Moldova, spying, a crime which provides for a penalty in the form of imprisonment from 12 to 20 years.

On Bolboceanu's name was issued a preliminary arrest warrant for a period of 30 days.
