Russia hopes to develop more constructive relations with Bulgaria and Moldova following the latest presidential elections in these countries, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said Wednesday.
We expect that there will be certain opportunities for more constructive relations, of course," Ushakov told RIA Novosti.
Moldova's Socialist Party leader Igor Dodon and Bulgaria's former air force commander Maj. Gen. Rumen Radev, also of the Socialist Party, have secured presidential election victories this month.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said last week that Moscow welcomed both leaders' remarks on closer cooperation with Russia.
