Boeing contradicts Trump’s „$4 billion” Air Force One claim
Boeing says it currently has an Air Force One contract worth $170 million and not "more than $4 billion" as previously said Donald Trump.
The president-elect said in a tweet on Tuesday that the new Boeing 747 jet that's being built to carry "future presidents" already costs more than $4 billion, and that he wants to cancel the order.
The company denied the costs declared by Donald Trump.
Shares of Boeing were slightly lower after Trump's comment.
"We are currently under contract for $170 million to help determine the capabilities of these complex military aircraft that serve the unique requirements of the President of the United States," according to Boeing Company.
The new planes will replace the aging pair of blue, white and polished aluminum 747-200Bs currently serving the President, reports CNN.
