Death toll in Berlin truck crash climbs to 12

The truck crash at the Christmas market in Berlin has killed 12 people. 48 people were hospitalized, some of them in a serious condition, Berlin police wrote on their official Twitter account on Tuesday.
The police preliminarily classified the incident as "an attack," but Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere admitted that a terrorist attack cannot be ruled out.
A truck has crashed into the crowd at the Christmas market in the central part of West Berlin ― on Breitscheidplatz near the Kurfurstendamm street. The incident occurred at 8:20pm. The truck drove around 80 meters through the market.
