Throughout the Golden Globes award ceremony, numerous actors criticized future President of the United States Donald Trump, Meryl Streep’s speech being notably passionate. President-elect Donald J. Trump dismissed Meryl Streep as “a Hillary lover” early Monday morning after the actress denounced him as a bully who disrespected and humiliated others, New York Times informs.

Not being one to wait around, Trump has already responded to the Streep’s speech, dismissing the acclaimed actor as “a Hillary lover”.

In a brief interview with The New York Times, Trump - despite having not seen the speech - revealed he was “not surprised” by “liberal movie people” attacking his character.

Trump also spoke about his upcoming inauguration, a hotly debated topic after numerous celebrities revealed they would not play.

The Globes were the last high-profile Hollywood event before Mr. Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20, a transfer of power that many in the entertainment industry have bemoaned.
