The European Commissioner Johannes Hahn is coming to Chisinau on Monday
The European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, will visit Moldova on Monday, 26 September.
He will meet the Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Governor of the National Bank Sergiu Cioclea and key Government Ministers. The Commissioner's programme also includes meetings with the parliamentary opposition and some non-parliamentary party leaders. The main purpose of the discussions in Chisinau is to take stock of the state of play of the reform process and of the EU supported implementation of tangible reforms. Special emphasis will be paid to the overview of the pre-electoral situation in the country in order to ensure that OSCE and the Council of Europe commitments are met during the 30 October Presidential elections.
This is the second visit by Commissioner Hahn in his current capacity. He last visited Chisinau on 6 November 2014.
