Tiraspol to Chisinau: „The Russian-Transnistrian Military applications is our internal problem”
The institution responsible for external relations from Tiraspol suggested to Chisinau not to comment and not criticize the common military applications of Transnistria and Russia, because these are concerning the internal affairs of Moscow and Tiraspol. The alleged foreign minister of Transnistria has reacted to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, in which Chisinau criticized the Russian-Transnistrian military competitions that took place on November 5.
The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that the staying of OGRF - and the contingent of Russian peacekeepers on the Dniester - is clearly regulated in the Agreement on principles of peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict on 21 July 1992. The Transnistrian institution considers provocative the reformatting exhortations of the peacekeeping mission as well as the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Dniester. Through these exhortations, Moldova would violate the agreements assumed internationally, including the joint statement of Presidents of Moldova and the Russian Federation on 18 March 2009.
Those from the PMR’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the issues of bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of Transnistria and Russia, including the organization of joint social-patriotic activities, are internal matters of Russia and Transnistria and are not a subject of estimations from some third parties.
"At the same time, the accusations of "hypocrisy" and "double standards" can not be expressed objectively towards Transnistria and Russia, in particular by Moldova, which is part of the negotiation process and which on several occasions it made use of dishonest practices and demonstrated unwillingness to meet its obligations," it is mentioned in the statement of the PMR’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The diplomacy in the Eastern of Dniester consider that the notes made in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) statement, threatens the peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
We remind that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration expressed its astonishment and outrage over the military actions by the Russian troops illegally positioned in Moldova and described the action as "a rude defiance of a sovereign state." The reaction of the officials in Chisinau comes after Saturday, November 5, Tiraspol held a "contest" of professional skills of Russian and Transnistrian military personnel.
"The outspoken and demonstrative neglection of the attitudes taken repeatedly by the Moldovan authorities about the illegal Russian military presence in Moldova is essentially a manifestation of the total disregard for the rules and principles of the international law. However, the statements made by the leaders of the Russian Federation from the highest international stands on the firmly attachment against civilized norms that must rely relations between the states can not be perceived other than a manifestation of hypocrisy and double standards," is said in the MFAEI communique.
In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration reiterated the Moldovan authorities efforts on the full and immediate withdrawal of Russian troops and munitions from Moldova and the beginning of talks on the transformation of the current peacekeeping operation into a multinational civil mission with an international mandate.
