Speaker Andrian Candu "reminds" to the President-elect, Igor Dodon, about the need to respect the law regarding the appointment of the prosecutor general. Speaker told journalists today during the meeting that according to legal norms parliament, the president has the right to refuse the appointment of the prosecutor only once.

"If the president refuses arbitrary or disregarding the law, he violates the Constitution and acts unlawfully. I point out for the elcted candidate, Igor Dodon, that in the situation that he becomes president, he should act strictly according to the law. The president cannot dissolve Parliament, but Parliament can easily suspend him if he violates the law. Take care and be attentive," said Candu.
