The President-elect, Igor Dodon, accuses his political opponents that they are delaying the process of appointing him as president of Moldova.

During a press conference held today, Dodon said that Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase are intentionally delaying his appointment, by postponing the terms in the case of the disputes started on the outcome of the presidential election.

"I have discussed with the President of the Constitutional Court yesterday and he told me that all disputes have reached the final stage. My opponents Andrei Nastase and Maia Sandu delay the legalization of election results, so they are doing the games of the governance", said Dodon, noting that the appeals are submitted by lawyers on the last minute: "Many say that they are filing the appeals on the last day, in the last half hour".

Dodon added that the government is interested in this as well.

"The Government does this so that I could not block the started reforms and here I refer to three of them. The reform of the pension age increase. I am against this reform, because many people do not reach this age. The opening of NATO Office in Chisinau, because they understand that I will block this thing, and also the appointment of a prosecutor general. I am categorically against any candidate. I think that it must be organized a new competition," added the President-elect.

Igor Dodon also made an appeal to his opponents: "To assume all anti-social reforms that will be admitted."

"Do they understand the lack of political maturity? Folks, you have lost the election. I, in 7 years, have participated in 11 elections. I had reason to be angry, but I admitted the guilt and I moved on. Or you need the NATO office so that President Timofti could sign the decree faster," added Dodon.

The President-elect also said that until December 27-28 it must be validated or invalidated the result of the presidential election. If it fails within 45 days after the runoff vote, the elections will be repeated: "Then I'll have to agree with the hundreds of thousands of people who want to come to Chisinau".
