Russia expects an intensification of negotiations on the Transnistrian conflict settlement after elections in Moldova and the Transnistrian region, said Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, informs RIA Novosti.

We remind that the citizens of Transnistria will participate on December 11 at the so-called presidential elections in which a new leader is to be elected in Tiraspol. It is assumed that the battle for the position of "president" is between the current leader Yevgeny Shevchuk, and the Sheriff group representative, Vadim Krasnoselskii.
