The first deputy president of PD, Vlad Plahotniuc congratulates PSD with the victory obtained in the parliamentary elections in Romania while the Moldovan Democrats and Social Democrats on the over bank of Prut have a political agreement for cooperation.

"I wish Romania to enjoy the political balance and stability in order to ensure further economic and social progress," wrote Plahotniuc, at the end of his message.

 

PSD won the election with a score more than double compared to PNL, according to the official website of the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).

Among the winners of the elections can be counted the Save Romania Union (USR), a new party that manages to enter Parliament with 8.55 pct in the Senate and 8.49 in the Chamber of Deputies.

Based on the results of exit polls and early official results in Parliament also managed to enter the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) and the People's Movement Party (PMP).

A simulation based on partial results provided by the Central Electoral Bureau show that at the Chamber of Deputies, PSD would get around 132 mandates, PNL - 45 mandates, UDMR - 16 mandates, USR - 14 mandates.

In the Senate, PSD will have around 48 mandates, PNL - 10 mandates, UDMR - 4 mandates, USR - 3 mandates ALDE - a mandate.
