President Dodon, won the appeal against former PM Strelet
Chisinau Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of former prime minister Valeriu Strelet against the President of Moldova - Igor Dodon. The judgment was delivered on Tuesday evening after earlier Buiucani court rejected the request to compel Igor Dodon to pay damages for defamation, writes bizlaw.md.
Strelet's lawyers say they will file an appeal to the Supreme Court.
This week, the court will review the appeal of the president. In early August, the same court decided victory in favor of the company BIOPROTECT LLC, whose owner is Valeriu Strelet. The company sued the Socialist Party and Igor Dodon for the same reason - defamation and violating professional reputation in a TV program. In this case, however, the Buiucani Court decided that the allegations are untrue, defamatory and harmed the company's reputation.
