Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today had a meeting with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bridget Brink, who has an official visit to Chisinau.

The two officials exchanged opinions on the agenda of the Moldova-USA bilateral relations and prospects for their advancement in 2017. At the same time, Galbur informed the American official about the political developments in Moldova, as well as the march of implementation of reforms, in the context of carrying out the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.

Minister Galbur encouraged joining the efforts of the USA and other foreign partners to back the government in promoting reforms and modernize Moldova.   

A special topic of the discussion was focused on the Transnistrian conflict settlement process. The sides welcomed the adoption of the declaration on the five-plus-two negotiations at the OSCE Ministerial Council, held in Hamburg on 8-9 December 2016.
