Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti, decorated today during an official ceremony, Daniel Ionita, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Moldova, and Valentin Popa, rector of University "Stefan cel Mare" in Suceava, Romania.

His Excellency Daniel Ionita was awarded the "Order of Honor" as sign of high appreciation for his merits in strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between Romania and Moldova.

Valentin Popa received the "Order of Honor" for merits in developing and strengthening cooperation between Romania and Moldova in the field of higher education, for contribution to training highly qualified specialists and prodigious scientific-methodical activity.
