President Igor Dodon said on Monday evening at ProTV Chisinau channel, that the legislation does not oblige Moldova to display the EU flag and decided that at the Presidency only the national flag to be displayed. Also, Igor Dodon reminded that Moldova is a member of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and rather this flag should be displayed on institutions.

Also last night, the president invested 3 days ago announced that he already goes on holiday.

"I didn't want to go on vacation, but the kids asked me. We'll go to Sochi to ski, and I will have there as well some informal meetings," the president Igor Dodon said.

We note that in summer, Dodon also was on a holiday in Russia - fishing in Astrakhan.

On the same TV show the head of state said that there are several legal solutions to dismiss the Prosecutor General Eduard Harunjen, which he doesn't consider appropriate for the position he occupies.

"There are 2-3 legal solutions. The easiest would be to cancel this decree, but we must see the consequences because it could be challenged in the Constitutional Court. The second would be addressing the President of the Constitutional Court, because the procedure was violated," declared Dodon.

The President promised that in the near future he will use one of these procedures.

"The procedure of forming the council of prosecutors was not respected, in compliance with the new law. A new board of prosecutors should have been formed, then unfold a contest and after that to follow the procedure. However, they violated everything from the start. The prosecutor must be dismissed. I plead for a new contest and a new prosecutor general," Dodon added.

He also said that he will be watching the MPs and that as soon as Parliament will come from the holiday he will propose the parliamentary party leaders to have a discussion.

"I am going to invite them at the Presidency and we will sit down to talk. How we further see things. I see it like this: the citizens want early parliamentary elections. What do you consider, how do we go further? Such a discussion would take place," he pointed out.

At the same time, Igor Dodon said that at the beginning of the session of Parliament, the President must be at the meeting with a speech.

"Not as it was before. I will be active, I will go to Parliament and I will express my opinions on various topics. I'll come up with other requests in this regard," concluded Dodon.

The President also announced that in his team he has more advisers who hold dual citizenship, but he has conditioned their approval depending on the initiation of renunciation procedure of other than Moldovan citizenship. Above that, he said that soon he will come up with an initiative that people who have access to state secrets, also should hold one citizenship.

About the Transnistrian settlement, Dodon said that resolving the conflict can only occur in the 5 + 2 format. He also said that it's normal and natural to congratulate the alleged new leadership in Tiraspol because people who have won the unrecognized elections, were supported by people.
