Presidency replies to the parliamentary majority: They have an unhealthy reaction
Administration of the President announced that noted the reaction of the parliamentary majority on the legislative initiative of Igor Dodon on removing the stolen billion repayment from the shoulders of the citizens. In a Facebook post, the spokesman of the president, Ion Ceban, argues that the country's leadership reaction is an "unhealthy one".
"President's position corresponds with the opinion of most people. The president elected by the people has legitimacy, was sworn in during the day in front of the people (not in the dark), his decisions are consistent with the interests of most citizens, and his actions are perfectly legal.
As for the legal aspects of the circumstances that led to the billion theft, they will be subject to a thorough analysis of both the President and various experts, including from abroad," wrote Ceban.
He also addressed to the Speaker of the Parliament, Andrian Candu, to not look at things as an official, but as a simple man.
"We ask the Speaker Andrian Candu to be equally vocal on other sensitive issues on the social agenda and try to look at things from the perspective of ordinary citizens, and not just from the chair of head of parliament," Ceban stressed.
We remind you that Igor Dodon signed yesterday the first legislative initiative that requested the abrogation of the Law on government bond issue for execution by the Ministry of Finance of the payment obligations derived from state guarantees.
His proposal was welcomed by the communist and liberal democratic opposition, but criticized by the parliamentary majority and the government. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, thinks the president's proposal would be a "legal blunder".
"A first legal and personal opinion of mine is: it seems that Mr. President Dodon needs a better legal advice, because this legislative initiative is a legal blunder. It refers to the annulment of a law that already has consumed the legal effect," the Speaker told Deschide.MD.
