Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the meeting is an informational one and allows identifying concrete problems that will be later dealt with, IPN reports.

For his part, Igor Dodon said that since 2008 no President of Moldova had visited the Transnistrian region.

"It is the first meeting in the last eight years. A lot of issues accumulated and are waiting to be resolved,” he stated, adding these are mainly related to the citizens living on both sides of the Dniester River.
