Prime Minister Pavel Filip rejected the request of the President, Igor Dodon which refers to recalling Ambassador of Moldova to Romania Mihai Gribincea.

Government sources have said to Deschide.MD that the decision was taken not long ago by PM Pavel Filip.

We recall that Moldovan President Igor Dodon requested the Government to initiate the procedure for recall of Michael Gribincea, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Romania.

According to Igor Dodon, he had a contrary view to the national interests of the Republic of Moldova, when said that Traian Basescu's deprivation of citizenship was illegal.

Igor Dodon reiterates that no representative of the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova has the competence to express an opinion on the legality of acts issued by the President in this regard, taking into account that the granting and revoking of citizenship is the exclusive competence of the President of Moldova.

Dodon calls on all representatives of the diplomatic corps of Moldova to represent exclusively the interests of Moldova and act in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Moldova.
