Matvienko asks Dodon to protect the Russian propaganda media in Moldova
The speaker of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, said that it is absolutely inadmissible the restriction of Russian media in Moldova. Matvienko was referring in particular to the "Rossia-24" channel, pointing out that such a restriction is contrary to the democratic principles.
"The fundamental democratic principle is the freedom of expression, and sanctioning the Russian language broadcasting organizations is in conflict with democratic principles," said Matvienko at the meeting with President Dodon transmits RIA.ru.
According to the press service of the Federation Council, the speaker also expressed its concern about the closure of Russian schools in Moldova and proposed that the two countries to develop their relations in education.
