The former communists of the Democratic Social Platform will adhere to the Democratic Party faction at the beginning of 2017th spring-summer session. According to the sources of Deschide.MD from among the 14 MPs, such a decision was taken in a small circle of people and is expected to be announced in an extended meeting that will take place closer to the first sitting of the Parliament.

In this sense, the PDM faction from the Legislative can become the most numerous. Currently, its membership includes 20 deputies, while the primacy is held by PSRM with 24 seats.

We tried to get a confirmation of the information provided by our editorial sources from some MPs from the Social Democratic Platform, but some chose to act like they don't know anything, others have decided to maintain the suspense until the official announcement.

"For now I can not tell you about a joint decision of the parliamentary group "the Social Democratic Platform." Each of deputies can take such a decision. However, as for me I can tell you that I still did not think about this topic," told us Igor Vremea...

"Lately I've been sick and I have not discussed these matters with my colleagues," said in his turn Alexandr Bannicov.

However, a member of the PSD hinted that at the beginning of the parliamentary session is expected a surprise. The Chairman of the Committee on Public Administration, Regional Development, Environment and Climate Change, Violeta Ivanov, refused to give a specific answer, saying only that: Wait the beginning of the session and you will see everything.

We remind you that in late December 2015, 14 deputies from the Communist faction announced their decision to leave the political party and to create the Social Democratic Platform "For Moldova". The reasons given by the 14 MPs was the fact that they no longer agree with the party policy that changes from day to day.
