Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime Control and Special Causes and the SIS officers are carrying out searches in a case of smuggling of huge proportions. It's about consumer goods and especially - clothing.

The Prosecutor Vitalie Chisca, who leads this operation, stated for Deschide.MD that until now, were arrested five people, although in the file are mentioned eight. The criminal-procedural measures are continuing.

The suspects have been bringing lots of undeclared cargo, and then selling it to several shops in the country. For a lower price than on the market, the smugglers were cashing some money under the table.

The suspects might get up to 10 years in prison and their business risks to be shot down.

We will come up with an update...
