Renato Usatîi announces that he is not searched by Interpol anymore
The President of "Our Party" Renato Usatîi announced that Interpol Headquarters in Lyon (France) removed him from the international search requested by Moldovan authorities. The announcement was made during a video post on Facebook.
"I want to inform the criminal and thievish regime of Plahotniuc that Interpol today removed me from international search. The Central Office did not believe the story of Plahotniuc about ordering the murder of Gorbuntsov ... I found lawyers in the US, EU and Russia that had to demonstrate that I am pursued for political reasons. It did not come to this, because Lyon took me out of the search," he said.
We recall that a similar situation occurred in the spring of 2015. Then, after nearly two months while police searched unsuccessfully for the former Minister of Internal Affairs Gheorghe Papuc, who was sentenced to four years in prison in April 7th case. The representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sent a request to Interpol to be searched abroad. In turn, the international organization refused the request of Moldovan policemen, arguing that it would be about a politically charged case.
