The DNA chief, Laura Codruta Kovesi and the Minister of Justice of Romania comes today to Chisinau
The Ministry of Justice of Romania together with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova organizes between 10 to 11 November 2016 in Chisinau, the Forum Romania - Republic of Moldova in Justice - "Reform of justice and fight against corruption in European perspective".
At its first edition, the Forum aims to constitute the main platform for communication in the field of justice leading to the development of bilateral cooperation in this area, removing any gaps, and supporting the European course of the Republic of Moldova and Justice in this country by continuing the reforms in the Judiciary system, the fight against corruption. The event will be opened by the Minister of Justice of Romania, Raluca-Alexandra Pruna, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Cebotari, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, Adrian Candu, Romanian ambassador to Moldova, Daniel Ionita, Timp românesc reports.
On this occasion, in Chisinau is also expected the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), Laura Codruta Kovesi. Her presence has been confirmed for Radio Chisinau by the press service of DNA.
In August, the Ministers of Justice of Romania and Moldova signed in Chisinau a Cooperation Agreement between the two Ministries of Justice. The document outlines the Action Plan between the two public authorities in the period 2016-2018. Through it is targeted the support of Moldova's European path and identification of new opportunities for developing cooperation relations between the two countries in the field of justice.
On the occasion of signing the Agreement, the Minister Raluca Pruna said that "the relationship with Moldova is privileged and strategic. We are obligated to work together effectively and gradually. Romania has no lessons to give, but it has a lot of experience to share."
It is the second agreement of cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of Romania and Moldova, the first being signed in May 2010.
