The current Acting Head of the General Prosecutor's Office, Eduard Harunjen, was nominated as candidate for Prosecutor General. "It was a very complicated contest. There were two months of continuing challenges. It was an attempt, we all tried our strengths. The law provides that the contest takes place exactly in that format. Namely, following the rules, the competition was a transparent one," said Eduard Harunjen.
The nominated candidate said that if the president accepts his candidacy, he will proceed to the actions described in his development plan of the General Prosecutor's Office.
Asked how he would react if he was called by Plahotniuc regarding any dossier, Eduard Harujen replied with a smile: I'll tell you!
Later he stated that doesn't know Plahotniuc so well as journalists know him or those from the political environment.
