Moldovan woman wounded in Istanbul terror attack out of danger
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said the Moldovan woman who was hurt in the New Year’s Eve nightclub terrorist attack in Istanbul is in a local medical clinic. Her state is stable and she is now out of danger.
According to the Ministry, the woman’s relatives were informed about the incident. Moldova’s consulate in Istanbul keeps in touch with the woman and her relatives and with Turkish doctors so as to provide the consular and medical assistance needed to facilitate her return home.
Deschide.MD recalls that on the night of December 31, 2016 to January 1, 2017, in Istanbul, Turkey, took place a terrorist attack that left 39 dead and 69 wounded.
Soon, representatives of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova in Ankara and Istanbul have requested the local authorities to check whether there were affected Moldovan citizens.
