A draft government decision on the approval of the deontological code of the medical employee and pharmacist, as well as a draft government decision on the approval of a regulation on ethic promotion of medicines have been subjected to public discussions at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister on Social Issues Gheorghe Brega.

Following the aforementioned debates and proposals made, the deputy prime minister instructed the creation of two working groups, which during 14 days, and respectively, 30 days, are to submit drafts on improving the deontological code of the medical employee and pharmacist, as well as of the regulation on ethic promotion of medicines.

In this respect, Gheorghe Brega stressed the importance of cooperation between all public associations in the field, given that the deontological code represents an essential act, which concerns all medical employees and pharmacists.

At the same time, as for the regulation on ethic promotion of medicines, the deputy prime minister came up with a proposal to prohibit advertising activities of representatives of pharmaceutical companies at the medical institutions.

Representatives of the Health Ministry and public associations of medical employees and pharmacists participated in the meeting.
