The candidate of the Liberal Party, Mihai Ghimpu, announced his withdrawal from the race "without conditioning" anything. However, after a pause when he was drinking water, the Liberal changed the switch. Today's conference of the liberal started with a notification headlined on high-speed in the breaking news from Moldovan media sites.

"I announce that I withdraw from the electoral race for function of president of Moldova without making any conditions."

After he had drunk water for 17 seconds, Mihai Ghimpu continued his thought contradicting his previous statement: "my only request, just one, the single candidate to take over one point, only one, from my program: Unification of Moldova with Romania," leaving to understand that if the single candidate does not agree with that, then he stays in the electoral race.

Further, Ghimpu recognized that he is sure that Maia Sandu will not accept his offer. "However, I am sure Maia Filat, sorry Maia Sandu, and I am sure Maia Sandu will not do this. Anyway, I am still waiting, but until getting an answer, I want once again to inform the citizens on the way towards Big Romania to our Romania," says the Moldovan Liberal leader.

At the end of the press conference Ghimpu was asked by the journalist what he will do if Maia Sandu does not assume the unification with Romania. The PL candidate answered: "it is clear that I remain in the race". Ghimpu added that awaits her answer by October 30, although it is obvious that the official's retirement can be formalized only if the withdrawal request is filed today or, at latest, tomorrow morning.

"Until we have a clear answer from the joint candidate, my campaign continues. If I receive a response that she assumes the Unification of Romania and Moldova, we meet again", mentioned Ghimpu.

In this context, we remind that Marian Lupu announced two days ago his withdrawal from the electoral campaign of presidential elections that will take place this Sunday and that he will support Maia Sandu.

The PD president urged his voters to support the candidate who is most likely to beat the Socialist candidate.

We note that after the PD candidate announced his withdrawal from the campaign in favor of Maia Sandu, the media published information that Iurie Leanca would withdraw his candidacy, too. Immediately after the announcement made by democrats, PAS candidate, Maia Sandu came with a virulent reaction and, subsequently, Iurie Leanca said that this influenced the final decision on his withdrawal from the race.
