The Customs Service took actions in CNA and PA raids case from Leuseni and Sculeni
The Customs Service took action after CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors have conducted searches at Leuseni and Sculeni border crossing points and ordered the initiation of two internal investigations to establish all the circumstances of the invoked illegalities.
Also, at the request of the investigative bodies has been given assistance to the Internal Security Department, a subdivision of the Customs Service, responsible for examining cases of misbehavior and corrupt behavior among employees.
The institution mentioned in a press release that, under the started reforms, the institution adopted a zero tolerance policy towards any involvement of employees in corruption acts or crime schemes, which is why The Customs Service reiterates its willingness to provide the necessary support for the elucidation of all the circumstances of the occurrence of any violations in the work of subordinate subdivisions.
We remind you that this morning multiple searches were made also in the homes and customs offices of two customs officers. After the operation, were arrested seven people including five customs officers and two businessmen.
We mention that last month were detained another 28 customs officers from the crossing points of Tudora and Palanca in a similar operation.
