Russian troops from Transnistria continue training to „protect us” from the terrorists
The illegally dislocated on the left side of the Nistru river, Russian troops continue to train in the military exercises regardless of the agreement from the Joint Control Commission which determined that during the period of Commission's vacation, which lasts from August 1 till September 15th, to restrain itself from any provocative actions which could diminish the situation in the territory.
According to vesti.pmr, yesterday the Operative Group of Russian Troops administration conducted practical meetings to deflect an attack on a Peace Maintaining Forces post from a group of terrorists, who were planning to create a passage to transport munitions and penetration of the illegal troops into Security Zone. The pacifying troops requested backup, after that they blocked and destroyed the terrorist group. At the exercises participated almost 150 soldiers, 10 units of military technique, 3,5 thousand maneuver munitions and means of imitation.
We remind you that right after the last JCC meeting from July 28th, where the delegations agreed that, during summer holiday of the Commission officials, the sides will restrain themselves from unilateral actions that could create tension and diminish the situation in the Security Zone, the non-authorized exercises of the Russian troops and Transnistrian troops started on the next day of the annual JCC holiday and continues at the present day.
Both, the officials of the Russian Embassy were convoked repeatedly at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova in August as well as the Russian Military attache at the Moldovan Ministry of External Affairs, but he did not attend the meetings.
Afterwards, at the end of the August, the Russian-Transnistrian military exercises started a statement war at Bucharest between Russian Federation Embassy to Romania and the Republic of Moldova Embassy to Romania. The Russian diplomats from Bucharest were saying that the only goal of these Russian-Transnistrian applications is to deflect an eventual terrorist attack on the munition deposit from Colbasna. These munitions would be an easy pray for the terrorists that already targeted "EU, Russia, Thailand and USA". The Moldovan diplomats referred to ECtHR decision from July 8th 2004, in the case of Ilascu and others vs the Republic of Moldova and Russia, stated that Russian Armed Forces had a direct involvement in the war on the Nistru. At the same time the Republic of Moldova Diplomacy pointed out that the recent common maneuvers violate the Peace Convection signed by Mircea Snegur and Boris Yeltsin in 1992, in which is clearly stated that the 14th Army units will respect the neutrality.
And the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Andrei Galbur repeated that the Moldovan Authorities are concerned regarding the military applications of the Russian Armed Forces conducted in common with Paramilitary Structures of the Tiraspol regime, in the dialogue with the Russian Federation Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Farit Muhametsin.
